New Release in the pipeline

Something a little more upbeat, a little more political

I’ve been working with Eddy Drover over at Tempest Music and it won’t be long now before my long awaited next release actually happens. This is a change up of style so I can’t wait to share it with you all….

Forever

Simon Sometimes

My latest release - a song about the fear and exhilaration of taking the big step of expressing your love for someone. Cowardice, obfuscation, dithering, courage…it’s all in there!

The Green Gathering, Chepstow August 2023

Wow! That was fun

I am no longer a festival virgin (performing that is). The Green Gathering was a fantastic weekend - warm, friendly, diverse, exciting. If you have never been then it’s a treat waiting for you.

This weekend I was performing as part of The Saer, a sister band, along with another founder member, Rebecca Richards (check out her music - voice!!) ably supported by Rob Husband, Adie Bower and, at the last minute, Dave - the Cat- Holwill.

Fingers crossed we get invited back again next year.

I've been working on some new graphics and here is an early glimpse of a design........

Simon Sometimes

Son of the steel city shakes off the rust

Simon Sometimes is a late coming musical explorer bent on forging his own path through the musical jungle.
Based in Devon, England, Simon  Sometimes wants to connect the global and the local.
Deceptively simple melodies weave together with politics, philosophy, the environment and, of course, love.
Melodic and mournful in equal measure, this musical cocktail has a bit of a kick.

I’m working on new material all the time. Here is an early incarnation of a song I wrote on a road trip to the Scottish Highlands
